| Pastor Ron Daugherty represents a testimony
to the restorative and transforming nature of God. Through submission
to the power of the Holy Spirit, his obedience to follow God’s
plan for his life and his willingness to go through the process
God is able to use him mightily. He has become a shining light
revealing the Lord’s divine, redemptive power. Through
Christ, Pastor Ron has helped many to be restored, transformed
and elevated to reach the destiny God has ordained for their
lives. Pastor Ron is a man of humility,
excellence, and has a great love for the people of God. His
pastoral position as that of a servant. The need to operate
in total humility, always putting the people first is the
hallmark of his ministry. He preaches, teaches and prophesy
in the spiritual realm what he lives out in the natural realm.
These characteristics of Pastor Ron attribute to the powerful
message of healing and deliverance. The charge that God has
given Pastor Ron and Word Church International is to “evangelize
faithfully and empower people to live victorious in every
area of their lives”. The effectiveness of his ministry
comes forth from his deep love for the gospel and his intense
desire to be used for the Glory of God.
Word Church International
Located in Lithonia, GA, a suburb of Atlanta,
Word Church International was founded by businessman, humanitarian,
and pastor, Ron Daugherty. Since it’s inception in 1997,
WCI has been a pillar in the community of Lithonia. Due to
the simplistic approach of teaching the Word of God and the
spirit of excellence which overshadows the ministry, success
is imminent.
Pastor Ron received the vision for Word
of Deliverance Outreach Ministries in 1992 while attending
Selma University, Selma, AL as an undergraduate. The church
started as a bible study with four faithful students in 1996.
Teaming up with Feed the Hungry Foundation of Atlanta, the
bible study grew into an outreach ministry where hundreds
of families were fed by volunteers of the ministry. In addition
to feeding families, a clothing closet was opened. As word
of Word of Deliverance got around many came from the local
community and other areas to hear the Word of God and witness
a change in a man the community had know all his life. The
ministry grew to the point of needing it’s own facility.
In September 1997 the church moved to it’s current location
as a tenant, only to “Possess the Land” in a few
short years. In 2000, the church purchased the building and
paid the mortgage in four years. This prime real estate in
the downtown area of Lithonia, now houses the church’s
sanctuary and offices, a Community food pantry, and a Community
Development Corporation.
Due to the diligence and commitment of Pastor
Ron , God commissioned him to become Pastor of Word of Deliverance
Outreach Ministries. He was ordained by Archbishop Jimmie
Smith, Light of the World Interdenominational International
Association in September 1998.
The name Word of Deliverance Outreach Ministries
was changed to Word Church International in March 2005.
Word Church International has made an impact
on the world and continues to spread the good news through
bible studies, seminars, international tours, radio broadcasts,
books, tapes, compact discs and coming soon television broadcasts.
Teachings are available via the internet, compact discs, audio
tapes and DVDs.
Currently, Word Church International is
assisting with the building of an orphanage in Penal Trinidad
and the supplying of materials for a clinic in Kinshasa, Congo
and Nyeri, Kenya in the continent of Africa.
The borders of the United States of America
do not restrict this ministry. Just as its name indicates,
Word Church International is an international ministry.
